  • Amazon cancel subscription of books and audio

    Amazon have today announced that the subscription of books and audio stories for children and students of all ages have been cancelled for as long as school is closed. You can  instantly stream an incredible collection of stories. These are all free to steam on your desktop, tablet, laptop and phone.

     Cheapside school and Mr John Cross will be presenting daily video tasks and family fun activities every week day starting Monday 23rd March. These activities will be designed around healthy living, healthy foods and promoting wellbeing at this difficult time.

    We are aiming to get you outside and learning from nature as well. These video tasks will be posted under the children>>wellbeing tab every morning. Please take a look at them as Mr Cross in particular is putting in time and effort to record them for you. Again, please feel fee to email teachers any photos of tasks you do so we can share what we are all doing!

  • Online PE lessons starting Monday 23rd March

    Starting Monday 23rd March, the body coach Joe Wicks is going to be hosting a free workout aimed at kids LIVE on his YouTube channel. With the schools closed and with us all spending more time at home, it's more important than ever that we keep moving and stay healthy and positive. Exercise is an amazing tool to help us feel happier, more energised, and more optimistic.  The workouts will be fun and suitable for all ages and even adults can get involved. You don't need any equipment, just tune in to his YouTube channel at 9am each morning for a 30-minute, fun workout.

    Online Home Learning Resources

    In additional to the work being provided by class teachers tomorrow, we are providing a list of  suggested websites and resources for home learning. These are optional resources that you can use to support or extend home learning. A copy of this list is available under the Key information >> Curriculum tab on this website.

  • Daily update - 19/3/20

    Further to the government announcement last night with regard to key workers and other groups of children, we are awaiting final confirmation from RBWM and the Department of Education. Plans are in motion and please be assured we will be in contact with you tomorrow.

    Mrs Searle is also talking with Rainbow/ pre school and we will have details for you tomorrow.

    Work packs for children: as soon as these are ready we will let you all know tomorrow so those of you whose children are not in can come and collect them. All lockers and personal belongings will need to be removed from school tomorrow.
