Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you are all well and coping with the new 'COVID-19 friendly' school routine? Hopefully there might be some light at the end of the tunnel come the New year- fingers crossed!

It was good to 'meet' you all during the Parent/teacher meetings.

I am very proud of the children and the way they have coped with school. They really are the most delightful class and I feel very fortunate to be teaching them.

We have now started Phase 6 Spellings in line with the Year 2 curriculum. As you've all probably realised, the children can't bring their spelling books home as they would normally do so I will be putting the spellings onto the class page each week.

Their first Spelling test will be on Friday 20th November. Although I will normally put the new words on the class page each Friday afternoon ,for this week, I am putting them on today along with some Spelling strategies to help support their learning of them.

Each child learns spellings differently so please feel free to pick and choose from the different strategies and do what works best for your child.

I will, over the next few days, be posting some photos from some of the fun things we did last term.
