Phonics
Today is a revision day in our Phonics lesson. We are revising the sounds that we have learnt this week, 'ur', 'ow', 'oi' and 'ear'. There is a quite a bit of writing in the powerpoint above. We wouldn't usually do all of the writing so please judge how much your child would like to do. Read the story together and spot some of the tricky words and digraphs/trigraphs. Have a go at the work sheets to practise letter formation and spelling.

Digging Deeper Extension Activity
This week in Maths we have been learning about number 6. How we can make 6 (numberbonds) and today's lesson is all about one more and one less.
Watch Numberblocks Number 6 and talk about what you have seen in the video. You can use the information to help you. Go through the powerpoint practising one more and one less. You can then practise together by making your own game or have a go at the work sheets.
We have also been practising different ways to make 6 using cubes or counters. How many ways can you find? Can you write a number sentence?
