W/B 29th June 2020
This week the whole school will continue activities linked to the book 'Where the Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak. You will find a reading of the story by Mrs Roberts on the website in the Video Resource Centre and you will also find a link to the story online under last weeks home learning.
Please refer to the grid for ideas that you can choose to do with your child. You will also find lots more ideas on our website Curriculum page under Key Information.
If you would like to have a go at any Maths this week please have a look at the White Rose Maths Home Learning. We are one week behind (Summer Term, Week 9, W/C 22nd June, Zog) and I have recorded a reading on Tapestry in case you do not have the book at home. You do not need to print anything out as most of the activities are practical, can be viewed on line or can be made/drawn at home. I have also attached below the White Rose planning that we would normally do in school at this time of year which has a focus on weight, measurement and capacity.
Please continue to practise Phonics when ever you can by playing games, see the list on last weeks home learning, or watching the DofE Letters and Sounds videos. You can find the link on our class page.
Please continue to build the children's confidence in writing and to have a go at using their sounds to write down what they would like to say. So if you can, try and encourage the children to write words and sentences about anything that interests them or even write a list of what they would like you to buy from the supermarket! There are also some lovely ideas linked to the book 'Where the Wild Things Are' on the grid and curriculum page.
Have a lovely week and I am looking forward to seeing some of you next week in school!
